2021 Honda Ridgeline Reveal: Interior & Exterior Features

Plenty of Space

So, you’ll have no trouble fitting kids, gear, and pets in this roomy pickup truck. Because Honda borrowed space and comfort features from its minivans to create an interior with ample space for passengers and toys. Plus, there’s also the bed, which includes a built-in trunk for covered storage and a multifunction tailgate.

A Rugged Look

The 2021 Ridgeline got a facelift – literally. From the roof pillars moving forward, almost every feature has been altered. The truck lives up to its rugged claims with sleek, aggressive elements, including a redesigned hood, power bulge, front fenders, headlights, and grille. Honda also updated the back of the vehicle with a reshaped bumper, twin exhaust outlets, and back fender flares. And we can’t forget the wheels – they’re fitted with aggressive bronze rims and tough all-terrain tires to match the (now-standard) all-wheel drive.

The truck comes in several bold colors, including Radiant Red Metallic — the latest addition to the Honda color palette.

An Interior Built for Comfort & Function

The Ridgeline may be built for hard work and offroad adventures, but Honda didn’t skimp on comfort or style. Inside, there’s contrast stitching on the leather seats, a redesigned dashboard, and some stylish center console accents. The infotainment system got an upgrade as well with updated graphics, different screen icons, and a physical volume knob.

Moving to the back of the vehicle, there’s plenty of legroom for tall passengers. Additionally, all the passenger seats fold down for extra storage space.

Performance & Power

This 2021 Honda Ridgeline reveal wouldn’t be complete without highlighting a few performance, power, and safety updates. Beneath the hood, you’ll find a 280-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine. The Ridgeline boasts the unique i-VTM4® system, which directs most of the engine’s torque to the rear wheels and adjusts inputs in real-time based on driving conditions.

Since the Ridgeline was built to handle a variety of driving conditions, Honda added in the Intelligent Traction Dynamics System. This smart technology refines the truck’s handling on snow, mud, ice, and rough terrain. And toys can come along for the ride, too — the new Ridgeline is rated to tow 5,000 pounds. Lastly, the vehicle comes with a suite of driver assistance features to prevent collisions and lane drifting.

Smooth Handling

Test drivers say that the Ridgeline is responsive, easy to handle, and fun to drive on both paved roads and rough terrain. Thanks to the light drivetrain, the Ridgeline is also fuel-efficient for its size and quick to accelerate.

2021 Honda Ridgeline Reveal Recap

The 2021 Ridgeline checks off all the boxes with its bold, rugged look, spacious interior, great handling, strong safety features, and all-terrain capabilities.  But what has been and remains special about it is that it drives car-smooth.  That’s a big deal for the midsize truck segment.  So, no log-wagon never-miss-a-bump ride here.  And personally, I love that.
