Infiniti announced that the all-new redesigned 2022 Infiniti QX60 will arrive in North American showrooms this Fall.

And the all-new midsize luxury sport-ute looks pretty similar to its predecessor.  But 2022 ushers in the luxury Nissan second generation.

Infiniti QX60 Redesign

The redesign is a welcome change as it modernizes the car without sacrificing the original design. At first glance, it looks like the original QX60. But as you get closer, you can see many modern touches.

For example, looking at the front of the vehicle there is a slight change. On the previous QX60, the hood line was floating above the headlamps. In the new redesign, the large hood drapes over the LED headlamps giving it a sporty, yet muscular appearance. As almost to say, “I can look good and go off road.” It gives the vehicle a new presence on the road.

On the rear, the tail light is one continuous light bar. This has been a popular trend among new vehicles. For instance, the “light bar” design is seen on the Audi A8, Porsche 911, and Lamborghini Urus.

Other standard features include a panoramic moonroof, power liftgate, and rear parking sensors. More luxury options are also available among the four QX60 models: Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph.

Pure Trim

The Pure is the base model for the 2022 Infiniti Qx60 but it gets the job done in the luxury department. For increased comfort, passengers can look forward to tri-zone automatic climate control and headliner-mounted air vents above the second and third rows. You’ll also never have to worry about charging your phone with six USB ports. This includes charge points in all three rows.

Luxe Trim

The Luxe separates its self from the Pure with large 20-inch wheels. On the interior, you can expect a 12.3-inch Infiniti Dynamic Meter display and climate-controlled front seats. It is also available with enhanced ProPILOT ASSIST with Navi-link, navigation.

Sensory Trim

Sensory trim for the 2022 Infiniti Qx60 ensures that all passengers are comfortable with many interior luxuries. The Sensory has in-seat massagers for driver and front passenger, heated second-row seats (outboard positions), and power-return for third-row seats. At the same time, the interior sets itself apart from the Luxe model with black open-pore ash wood trim, enhanced interior ambient lighting, and illuminated kick plates. It also has a Bose Performance Series audio with 17 speakers.

Autograph Trim

And the top-of-the-line is the Infiniti QX60 Autograph trim. It has an executive presence as a result of the contrast stitching and quilted leather interior. In addition, passengers will know that they are in a special vehicle with exclusive second-row captain’s chairs.

2022 Infiniti QX60 Final Thoughts

Overall, the 2022 Infiniti QX60 is a welcomed redesign. The midsize SUV remains packed with luxury features, we come to expect from Infiniti, but also with a new handsome body style.

So the second generation QX really is all-new, but it remains unmistakenly an Infiniti QX60.  We’re looking forward to getting behind the wheel for a deeper dive.
