2022 Lexus NX Reveal: All-New Compact Luxury SUV

Lexus is revealing its newest SUV.  The popular and stylish compact sport-ute is getting a new look.

And with its mix of luxury, top-end technology, and performance, there are many reasons to anticipate the 2022 Lexus NX reveal.

That includes the Lexus NX’s attractive styling – inside and out.

2022 Lexus NX Reveal: Performance & Efficiency

Engine & Power Specifications

The NX boasts an all-new 350 2.4 turbo engine, which puts off 275 horsepower and 317 lb-feet of torque. Additionally, the SUV has an eight-speed transmission. This upgrade gives the vehicle better handling in both AWD and FWD modes.

Additionally, Lexus is joining the hybrid revolution with its plug-in hybrid vehicle (PHEV) system. In electric-power mode, the NX’s battery can go up to 36 miles one on charge. The battery can charge in 2.5 hours with the Expedited Onboard Charger, or in 4.5 hours without.

Next, there’s the sophisticated AWD system, which optimizes the front and rear torque for different driving styles. Paired with Predictive Efficient Drive, Lexus’ smart navigation system, drivers get a customized experience that improves with each mile as the car keeps learning. Further, your fuel efficiency gets better over time since the car optimizes its performance for your unique style of driving.

2022 Lexus NX Reveal: Interior Design & Features

True to the Lexus brand, the NX has a luxurious interior with some notable tech upgrades. The driver cockpit includes a 7-inch Multi-Instrument Display along with the option for a 10-inch heads-up display. Further, the steering wheel offers access to multiple driving functions so that you have full control without taking your eyes off of the road.

Next, the SUV comes equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. The safety suite includes emergency steering assistance, oncoming vehicle detection, oncoming pedestrian detection, and radar-powered cruise control. The NX will also get some system upgrades like road sign assistance, lane assistance, and intelligent high beam lights.

Design-wise, the car comes standard with interior noise reduction features, heated seats, and plenty of storage. Lexus also redesigned the seats and console and included a panoramic moonroof – the first for an NX model.

Multimedia Features

The NX includes the Lexus interface. Full of smart features, the interface comes with a “virtual assistant” that can respond to driver’s spoken requests. Consequently, drivers can have hands-free access to music, navigation, phone, and vehicle settings. The system also allows you to build a comprehensive user profile that pairs with your smartphone. Further, there’s a digital key feature that up to seven people can use with the vehicle. Finally, the NX comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, along with a wireless phone charger.

Exterior Styling

The NX manages to look classy and sporty at the same time. There’s the spindle grille, which has a unique three-dimensional appearance. The sleek headlights add to the SUV’s bold look. In the back, Lexus installed their updated logo along with the same full-width combination lamps as the UX and IS models.

The F-SPORT Model

The 2022 Lexus NX reveal also includes the F SPORT handling model, an upgraded model that comes with a few extra perks. The package includes special ornamentation, sport seats, and aluminum pedals. The SUV has a sportier look thanks to the custom F SPORT grille, 20-inch all-black wheels, and black roof rails.
