The all-new 2022 Audi A3 and S3 were recently revealed to the auto world. And both are more dynamic-looking than in previous years.
So, Audi sets the tone for a more powerful drivetrain. Both sedans come with a powerful 2.0-liter turbo-four engine. And that connects with a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission.

The All-New 2022 Audi A3 Hybrid System
The 2.0-liter produces 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. And that improves on the 2020 Audi A3’s 186 horsepower. Plus, the 2.0-liter will now come standard with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system for better acceleration from a stop. And that hybrid system also helps save gas by letting the engine shut off. So the sedan will coast when driving situations are just right.
The MQB global platform has been updated by the parent company Volkswagen with adaptive steering and adaptive damping. As a result, A3 comes standard with a front-wheel drive. However, an all-wheel-drive system can be added for $2,000 extra.
A Higher Output Engine for the Audi S3
Although the all-new 2022 Audi S3 uses the same engine as the A3, Audi manages to pull some better horsepower and torque numbers out this trim model. The S3’s 2.0-liter will push out 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, that’s a big boost from last’s year S3 model. Audi claims the new S3 can go from 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds respectably. An S sport suspension is available with damper control and can be adjusted from the driver seat via. the Audi Drive Select modes. The suspension upgrades also include a drop of .06-inches from the A3 trim model.
A More Aggressive Audi Look All The Way Around
The all-new 2022 Audi A3 and S3 receive exterior upgrades like a wider grille and bigger front air dams to give the Audi a more sporty but aggressive look. The fenders are bolder and bulgy-looking while the rocker panels do a great job of continuing the wider stance and aggressiveness of the sedan.
The S3 is wider than its predecessor by 0.8 inches and longer by 1.6 inches, but the wheelbase stays the same. It also has larger quad exhaust tips and an optional black optic package that includes black exhaust tips and a black roof. Both the A3 and S3 get a new hood and standard LED headlamps. An optional next-generation Matrix LED headlight design can be ordered with unique-looking daytime running lamps. The taillights come LED standard with an optional locking and unlocking animation feature.
An Interior You’d Expect from the All-New 2022 Audi A3 and S3
Both the Audi A3 and S3 will come with a 10.1-inch touchscreen using Audi’s MIB 3 infotainment operating system. The Audi also comes with a 10.25 inch. instrument cluster or an optional 12.3-inch virtual cockpit. The virtual cockpit is one of the best on the market. Both the A3 and the S3 give the driver the choice of dynamic, sport, or classic view modes. The S3 gets an extra S Performance view mode to choose from if you have certain options. And for the first time, a head-up display is optional on both the A3 and S3 models.
The all-new Audi A3 comes standard with eight-way power-adjustable front seats wrapped in leather. Four-way adjustable lumbar support, panoramic sunroof, and three-zone climate control are also standard, and memory for driver seats and mirrors can be optioned up. The S3 gets Sport front bucket seats with four-way lumbar support and some other available interior features.

The all-new 2022 Audi A3 and S3 come with a standard set of safety features and some optional features as well. It starts out with standard high-beam assist, lane-departure warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, active lane control, and ten standard airbags. Available safety features include self-parking, rear cross-traffic assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Audi A3 and S3 Trim Packages
The Audi A3 comes in Premium trim for $34,945, the Premium Plus goes for $38,245, and the Prestige trim will go for $42,245, all of them available with an all-wheel-drive package for an extra $2,000.
The Audi S3 comes standard with all-wheel drive and bigger front brakes and hits the market at $45,945 for the Premium, the Premium Plus goes for $48,745, and the Prestige package goes for $52,545.
