The all-new Corvette Z06 reveal date has been announced.  Is it a big deal?  YES!

The Corvette That Changed Everything: C8

So it was just two years ago that Chevy gave the world the Corvette C8.

And the eighth generation of Corvette rocked the supercar world.  Because it moved the engine from the front of the car to the rear.

Affordable Supercar

And that move changed the entire dynamics of the vehicle.  It allowed the already stellar performing sports car to take its game to the next level.

By every performance definition, the move took Corvette from American muscle car status to undeniable supercar status.  Best of all, it did so without the eye-popping supercar six-figure price tag.

But the seismic shift in supercar engine placement was exclusive to the Stingray.  And Stingray has been Corvette’s base model.

Traditional Corvette Trims

So, the all-new Corvette Z06 reveal will be huge news.  Because traditionally the Z06 has been the near-top trim configuration Chevy offers for Corvette.

For example, here are the trim options for the last year of the seventh generation Corvette:

  • Stingray
  • Grand Sport
  • Z06
  • ZR1

Now, so far only the C8 Corvette Stingray has been revealed and available for sale.  Of course, that is if you can find one or patiently wait and special order one.

C8 Stingray Stats

But the C8 Stingray changed everything because of its quantum leap in performance stats.  At the same time coming in at an MSPR under $70,000!

As a reminder, the C8 Stingray burned these numbers into the automotive history books.

Corvette C8 Stingray Stats:

  • 495 horsepower
  • 470 pound-feet of torque
  • 0 to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds
  • 194 mph top track speed

And again, that’s the base model Corvette C8!  So, where is the Z06 going to take those performance numbers?

All-New Corvette Z06 Reveal

At this point, we don’t know.

But Chevy’s media folks are manipulating the car-loving crowd like Pavlov’s dog.  Plus we know it, don’t care and can’t wait for what’s next!

Here’s the video Chevy is sharing with the world – for now.

Here’s What We Know

The all-new Corvette Z06 will be revealed in the fall of 2021.  And the new C8 will be a 2023 model year.

Our guess is that it will be fast and offer rather insane performance.  Plus it will be competitively priced for the money.

But all that is judging from a 30-second video and the Z06’s little sibling Stingray.  Stay tuned – we certainly will!
