Mopar Club of San Diego
Who They Are
Based in San Diego, California, the Mopar Club of San Diego is a long-established enthusiast group dedicated to vehicles connected to the Chrysler Corporation family. Founded in 1994 by local owners of Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, and related vehicles, the club has grown into a welcoming community for fans of Mopar heritage, classic American engineering, and modern Chrysler-affiliated nameplates.
Its scope is broader than many single-marque clubs. While the Mopar identity is central, the club recognizes the full range of Chrysler-related brands, including Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth, DeSoto, Imperial, Ram, Jeep, and AMC. This gives the group a wide appeal, from muscle-car owners and truck enthusiasts to collectors of less common historic models.
What They Do
The club maintains an active calendar built around both social connection and automotive participation. Members gather for monthly club meetings, weekday cruises, barbecue events, and appearances at local car shows. These activities give owners a regular opportunity to enjoy their vehicles, exchange knowledge, and stay connected with San Diego’s wider car community.
A major highlight is the club’s annual All-American Car Show, described as one of the largest car shows in San Diego. Although the club’s identity is Mopar-focused, the event welcomes all makes and models of cars, trucks, and motorcycles, making it inclusive rather than brand-exclusive.
The club also has a strong community-service element. Proceeds from its activities support military-focused organizations, including STEP/Support the Enlisted Project and the San Diego Fleet Week Foundation. In 2025, the club donated $8,000 to each organization, reflecting a meaningful commitment beyond the show field.
