Chevy Teams with Disney: Building Buzz Around an All-Electric Future
Disney shot the 90-second commercial with the iconic backdrop of Disney World’s Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. Magic is Electric features epic shots of the Star Wars X-Wing fighter racing alongside the EUV on a desert highway. In Behind the Magic, viewers get a backstage peek at the creation of Magic is Electric and learn more about the EUV’s cutting-edge features. Disney fans will easily recognize the cast of the short films, which include Tinker Bell and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
The characters draw attention to some of the EUV’s most innovative features, like the new Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving function and HD rear camera.
Along with Disney, Chevy partnered with Tik Tok influencer Nick Cho (@YourKoreanDad) to continue the magic on social media. In his short videos, Cho gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the Chevy-Disney content collaboration. He also gets input from real-world EV owners about what’s it’s like to own an electric vehicle.
When Chevy teams with Disney, it’s sure to be a hit. This isn’t the first time the two have partnered up. Their first collaboration dates back to 1940, when Walt Disney himself created an animated training video for General Motors. They worked together on other projects throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Eventually, in 2012, Chevy created a big-hit attraction called the Test Track presented by Chevrolet at EPCOT in Florida.
The Inside Scoop on the Bolt EUV
The EUV is a tech-packed SUV. It borrows features from the Bolt EV sedan, but also includes brand new features like Super Cruise. This system uses a mix of lidar and cameras to allow for hands-free driving on nearly 200,000 miles of North American roads.
Additionally, the EUV is a good fit for road-trippers since the battery has an impressive range of 250 miles per charge. The battery can accumulate a 95-mile charge in just 30 minutes. Lastly, cramped legs won’t be a concern in the EUV – you get nearly 3 extra inches of legroom in the rear seats.
If Chevy and Disney have you excited about an all-electric future, you won’t have to wait long to get behind the wheel of the 2022 Bolt EUV- this vehicle and the redesigned Bolt EV will be available in Chevy dealerships soon.
