Cars And Coffee LA is a monthly meet that takes place in Los Angeles’s historic Griffith Park.
Specifically, it happens near the merry-go-round but it spills out to wherever vehicles fit. And it’s a good representation of Los Angeles.
Because there are plenty of different types of vehicles along with the drivers of them. For example, when I stopped by in February I saw a couple of Ferraris and Porches. But also a couple of Panteras.
There were lots of various customs. Newer, I’d say, more so than older. And that includes off-roaders for sure. Having spent a lot of time in Venice, California the event kind of made me feel like I was there. A little bit of everything – accentuated by the odd.
No doubt the fuselage 3-wheeler pictured atop this post caught your attention. As it did mine. And that was just a 100% creation by its driver. When he started it up to leave I asked if it was street legal (of course it’s not!) and he just smiled while pulling away.
BTW – from the sound of the motor and the smell of the exhaust, the contraption had to be powered by some sort of two-stroke engine. Weird but cool!
And OCL, the organizer of Cars And Coffee Los Angeles, said the same guy shows up with something crazy and different nearly every month.
So, check out C&C LA! It’s worth the experience for sure.
