La Jolla Concours d’Elegance: Cue the chamber music while entering a world of extravagant opulence.  And that’s after sliding into your best suit if you’re a dude… or fancy dress and Kentucky Derby style hat for the ladies.

Because the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance features some of the most exquisite automobiles on earth.  And everyone is dressed to the nines. Plus it takes place at picturesque Ellen Browning Scripps Park in La Jolla, California.

So, Concours d’Elegance is a French phrase that translates to a competition of elegance.  And that basically means that this is a swanky shindig!  :0)

Nearly all Concours d’Elegance events have pricey admission tickets.  But with that said, they’re totally worth it.  Because you do not have to be a car-person to appreciate them.

And, if you or your special someone like getting dressed up, these events can be great date activities too.
