The all-new 2022 Lexus LX is finally here.
And it delivers crazy off-road ability with equal luxury. Albeit tight space for the backseat riders.
So, a single drivetrain covers the entire lineup. And provides more grunt than ever before.
Here in the US, we won’t see the LX’s Toyota sibling Land Cruiser. That’s traditionally been the non-luxury version of Lexus LX.
But the 2022 Lexus LX shares that same platform. While offering more luxury.

So the 2022 Lexus LX provides a ground-up redesign. Including more luxury and off-road capability than ever before from the brand.
2022 Lexus LX Trims And Pricing

For those who want a little more athleticism. The F Sport Handling trim offers 22-inch wheels. A sport-tuned suspension, limited-slip differential, plus upgraded leather upholstery. Also, a fridge in the center console.
A Luxury trim builds off of the Premium trim with its own unique 22-inch wheels. Then the second-row seats get ventilation. Further, a 25-speaker Mark Levinson premium audio system.
At the very top of the lineup is the Ultra Luxury. It’s a stunning sport-ute. With a height-adjustable suspension. Premium leather upholstery. Power-adjustable second-row chairs. A rear-seat entertainment system. Even a backseat wireless charging pad.

And the Lexus LX can look tall and off-road ready. Or it can ride low and sleek for long highway road trips. That’s thanks to high-end air suspension.

Inside The 2022 Lexus LX
So, it might have taken a long while to get this generation of the LX. But it sure feels worth that wait.
The first and second rows feel akin to being in first class on an airplane. Even the third row, while not as spacious, is a lovely place to spend time.
Even the materials used throughout the cabin are rich and luxurious. Realizing how comfortable passengers can be in this SUV can be strange. Because extreme off-road trails are almost never driven with such elegance.

Drivers get to use three of them. Including an 8-inch digital gauge cluster. Along with a dual-screen central infotainment system.
And it’s one of the best systems we’ve ever seen. That goes for Toyota or Lexus. Because of its great user interface and quick response times.
Plus, second-row passengers can have three more screens. Including dual infotainment screens and a central climate control system.
Also available is a 25-speaker premium audio system. So, there’s no shortage of excellent technology.

Safety And Driver-Assistance
Neither the NHTSA nor the IIHS has yet to release safety score information on the LX. Yet, we like the inclusion of adaptive cruise control. Plus, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and automated emergency braking. But we also expect that in 2022.
Warranty And Maintenance Coverage
Every LX gets a four-year or 50,000-mile limited warranty. Along with a six-year or 70,000-mile powertrain warranty. Plus, Lexus includes a year or 10,000 miles of complimentary maintenance.
