Who They Are

Founded in June 1971, the Conejo Valley Model A Ford Club has been a cornerstone of the classic car community in the Thousand Oaks area. Initially started as a chapter of the Model A Ford Club of America, the club was one of the earliest to bring together enthusiasts of the iconic 1928-1931 Model A Ford.

The club is especially close-knit, with founding members Dave and Carol still remembered as part of its original team. While the focus remains on the Model A Ford, the club is open to all car enthusiasts who share a love for vintage automobiles and appreciate the Model A’s historical significance.

What They Do

The Conejo Valley Model A Ford Club is active in a wide range of community and automotive events. Members regularly participate in car tours, parades, and Cars & Coffee events, keeping the spirit of the Model A alive wherever they go. The club also values camaraderie, with informal gatherings like monthly dinner meetings held on the 4th Thursday of each month at various local restaurants, offering a chance to socialize and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

While the club doesn’t currently organize its own car show, it actively participates in the car shows and swap meets of nearby chapters, sharing their love for the Model A and connecting with others who appreciate vintage cars.

The club also makes donations to local charities, continuing the tradition of giving back to the community.
