Who They Are
Founded in 2016, Huntington Beach Car Club was established by a small group of enthusiasts who wanted to create a club centered on the enjoyment of classic cars and the friendships that come with the hobby. Built around a “back to basics” philosophy, the club emphasizes community, volunteerism, and a welcoming atmosphere over formalities, creating an environment where members can simply enjoy their vehicles and the people who share the same passion.
Although many members own classic cars, hot rods, and American muscle cars from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the club welcomes vehicles of all makes, models, and years. That inclusive approach allows owners of both vintage and modern performance vehicles to participate, making the club a diverse gathering of automotive enthusiasts from across Southern California.
What They Do
Community involvement sits at the heart of Huntington Beach Car Club’s activities. Throughout the year, members participate in charity car shows, local parades, community celebrations, and special events, using their shared enthusiasm for automobiles to support organizations throughout the region.
The club also organizes several annual car shows that benefit schools, veterans, and nonprofit organizations. These include Cruisin’ at the Beach at Edison High School each June in support of Edison High School Athletics, OV Overdrive at Ocean View High School each May benefiting OVHS Athletics, Classics on the Hill at the Fullerton Elks each September supporting Elks charities, the Veterans Day Car Show at the VA Hospital in Long Beach each November, and the Benedict Castle Concours in Riverside each May, which supports Teen Challenge of Southern California.
In addition to these larger events, members gather regularly at Cars and Coffee meetups on Saturdays at the Enderle Center in Tustin and Sundays at the Balboa Fun Zone in Newport Beach. These recurring gatherings provide opportunities to showcase vehicles, reconnect with fellow members, and welcome newcomers to the local car community.
