Who They Are

Founded in 1987, the Orange County Mustang Club (OCMC) has grown into one of the largest and most respected Mustang-focused communities on the West Coast. With over 320 active members, the club’s roots run deep in Southern California’s rich automotive culture. The club primarily celebrates the iconic Ford Mustang, with a special fondness for first-generation models, half of its members’ cars are from this classic era. Whether it’s an original pony car or a modern-day performance machine, OCMC’s diverse membership enjoys sharing their passion for the Mustang in a supportive, social environment.

What They Do

OCMC offers a wide range of activities for Mustang enthusiasts. From scenic poker runs to Lake Arrowhead, to exclusive cruises to private car collections, the club keeps members engaged with exciting and unique events. The club also organizes meet-ups with other car clubs, as well as shoreline gatherings, providing ample opportunities for Mustang owners to showcase their rides and connect with like-minded individuals.

The club hosts two major annual car shows: one at the Silverado Days Festival in Buena Park and another, the flagship Mustang Madness show, which draws enthusiasts from across the region. Mustang Madness is particularly noteworthy this year for featuring a demonstration by Vaughn Gittin Jr., a renowned Mustang driver and drift champion.

Community involvement is a key pillar of the club’s mission. In 2025, OCMC has committed to donating $10,004 to several worthy causes, including Patriots and Paws and the Down Syndrome Association of Orange County, among others. These charitable contributions reflect the club’s dedication to giving back to the community that supports their automotive passions.
