California Hot Rod Reunion is heading back to Famoso Dragstrip for 2026 with a weekend built around nitro, hot rods, drag racing history, and full-throttle nostalgia.
This one is not a quiet park-and-polish kind of car show. The whole feel leans into fire, noise, and old-school dragstrip energy, with historic race cars, vintage hot rods, and nitro machines bringing the attitude. Between the Nitro Revival feature and the Cacklefest atmosphere, the event has the kind of sound-and-smell identity that only makes sense at a real dragstrip.
Organized by the NHRA Motorsports Museum, the reunion carries a strong heritage angle without feeling like a museum piece. It is built around the people, cars, and machines that shaped traditional drag racing culture, from front-engine dragsters and altered race cars to hot rods, customs, and period-inspired builds.
