La Mesa’s 32nd Classic Car Show & Music Event is rolling back into La Mesa Village for 2026 with a summer-long cruise night built around classic cars, live music, and downtown energy.
This one has that familiar Southern California evening feel where the cars, storefronts, music, and foot traffic all work together. Visitors can stroll La Mesa Boulevard and catch a mix of classic cars, trucks, and vans while local bands and a DJ keep the street moving from week to week. It feels more like a neighborhood summer tradition than a one-night car show, with enough variety in the lineup and music schedule to make each Thursday feel a little different.
Organized by the La Mesa Village Association, the event keeps the format simple and welcoming. There is no registration fee for participants, and classic vehicles can pull into designated spots along the route on a first-come basis. Live music is also a major part of the series, with bands playing from the La Mesa Lumber truck stage and a rotating lineup planned throughout the summer.
