Sunsetters Silver Lakes Car Show is returning to Helendale this August!
There is something enjoyable about a hometown car show where the lineup is as diverse as the people who bring it together. From street rods and muscle cars to classics, customs, golf carts, side-by-sides, and modern enthusiast vehicles, this gathering embraces a wide variety of automotive styles instead of focusing on just one. As visitors make their way through the park, the relaxed pace makes it easy to stop for conversations, admire the craftsmanship behind each build, and spend the morning surrounded by fellow enthusiasts.
Organized by the Sunsetters Silver Lakes Car Club, this year's event also celebrates the club's 15th anniversary while recognizing the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 100-year legacy of Route 66. Registered participants receive a dash plaque and swag bag while supplies last, and the first 50 registered vehicles will also receive a commemorative Route 66 Challenge Coin. Opportunity drawings, a 50/50 raffle, vendors, music, and a special gas drawing round out the day's activities, with participants encouraged to stay after the show for the Hot August Nights Concert in the Park beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Happening at Helendale Community Park in San Bernardino County, the open park setting provides plenty of room for a broad mix of vehicles and the community that comes with them. All makes and models are welcome, giving spectators the chance to see everything from vintage American classics and restored pickups to custom builds and modern performance cars in one location. The park also offers a natural transition from the daytime car show into the evening concert, making it easy to turn the outing into a full day in Helendale.
Some community car shows are about bringing home a trophy. Others are about spending time with friends, celebrating local traditions, and enjoying a shared appreciation for cars. With milestone anniversaries, a wide-ranging vehicle lineup, and a full day of activities, the Sunsetters Silver Lakes Car Show offers plenty of reasons to make the drive and enjoy the day at your own pace.
