Bug-In Race, Swap, Car Show is rolling back into Famoso Dragstrip for 2026!
This two-day celebration of Volkswagen culture brings together everything from classic Beetles and vintage Buses to custom builds and performance mods. The lot buzzes with engine roars, polished paint glinting under the sun, and the lively chatter of VW enthusiasts. Swap meet stalls and manufacturer booths offer a treasure hunt of rare parts, accessories, and collectibles, creating a hands-on experience for both longtime fans and casual visitors.
Hosted by Bug-In and FLAT4 Co., Ltd, the event combines drag racing, a car show, and a swap meet into one weekend. Saturday brings racing and camping for early arrivals, while Sunday focuses on the car show and community gathering. Awards recognize standout builds, and the event has become a landmark for Southern California VW culture, drawing collectors, club members, and families who love the unique charm of air-cooled and custom vehicles.
Set at Famoso Dragstrip in Kern County, the venue gives the event plenty of space for racing, display, and camping. Attendees can expect a wide variety of classic and modern Volkswagens, along with hot rods and custom builds sprinkled in for added flair.
