Buses By The Bridge is rolling back into Lake Havasu City for 2026.

Set along the shoreline at Lake Havasu State Park in Mohave County, this long-running Volkswagen bus campout brings together split-window, bay window, Vanagon, and other vintage VW bus owners for a laid-back desert meetup centered around camping, community, and classic air-cooled culture. Rows of well-kept campers, period-correct restorations, patina builds, and road-worn travelers make this event as much about stories and setups as it is about the vehicles themselves.

Organized by the Buses By The Bridge team, the event is built specifically for Volkswagen buses, with camping restricted to VW buses only inside the main event area. A dedicated parking crew helps manage flow and spacing, while non-VW vehicles, motorhomes, and trailers are routed to overflow parking. Informal camp-spot swapping is part of the experience, allowing attendees to trade used parts, handmade goods, and unique items directly from their campsite while keeping the event non-commercial and community-driven.

Attendees can expect a true campout atmosphere with a focus on respect and shared space. The pace stays slow inside the park, quiet hours are observed overnight, and camp etiquette is taken seriously to keep the experience comfortable for everyone. Fires are limited to raised pits, dogs are welcome on short leashes, and group areas are encouraged to stay organized and open once unused space becomes available.
