Central Coast Golden Hour Cruise | 2026 | Avila Beach, CA
The Central Coast Golden Hour Cruise is trading parking spaces for open roads, inviting enthusiasts to experience one of California's most scenic evening drives. Instead of gathering around a stationary show field, participants will cruise together through the Central Coast as the afternoon fades into sunset, making the journey itself the main attraction.
This isn't your typical car meet where everyone parks and stays put. Once the group rolls out from Avila Beach, the cruise heads inland through the rolling hills and vineyards of Edna Valley before making its way back toward the coast. From there, participants will continue through Shell Beach and Port San Luis, catching the golden-hour views along the Pacific before returning to Avila Beach. Expect to see a strong lineup of classic Chevrolet C10 pickups alongside vintage trucks, custom builds, and other enthusiast vehicles enjoying the drive together.
Hosted by C10 Club Central Coast CA, the Golden Hour Cruise follows the day's C10 SLO Down festivities, but you don't have to be part of the show to join the evening drive. The cruise is all about bringing enthusiasts together for a relaxed run through some of the region's most picturesque roads, where the conversations at each stop are just as memorable as the miles in between. It's a reminder that sometimes the best part of the hobby isn't standing next to the vehicle, but actually driving it.
The cruise begins at the Avila Beach Public Parking Lot, where participants should plan to arrive before the 6:00 PM departure. Because this is an organized cruise rather than a static display, arriving on time is important to avoid missing the group. The planned route takes drivers through Edna Valley before returning to the coastline via Shell Beach and Port San Luis, offering a mix of winding inland roads, ocean views, and some of the Central Coast's most recognizable scenery.
