Fire Station 55 Pancake Breakfast & Car Show is making its debut in Eagle Rock this August!
There is something different about a car show when the community is just as important as the cars themselves. While classic Volkswagens are expected to take center stage, the morning is also shaped by the people who gather around them, from families sharing breakfast to enthusiasts catching up beside rows of air-cooled icons and custom builds. Add live music, local vendors, and the steady flow of conversations that naturally happen around interesting vehicles, and the event feels more like a neighborhood celebration than a traditional car show.
Organized by Black Sunday Aircooled, this first annual fundraiser brings together automotive enthusiasts in support of Los Angeles Fire Department Station 55. Visitors can enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast, browse vendor booths, listen to live entertainment from DJ Renegade, and explore a lineup of classic Volkswagens alongside other custom vehicles. A kids' jumper and family activities round out the morning, while proceeds from the event help benefit Fire Station 55 and its community programs.
Happening at Fire Station 55 in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles County, the setting gives the gathering a character that few venues can match. Instead of meeting in a conventional parking lot, visitors will spend the day surrounded by fire apparatus, local history, and a collection of enthusiast-owned vehicles that reflects Southern California's long-standing air-cooled Volkswagen culture. Even beyond the featured VWs, expect to find a variety of customs and other standout builds parked throughout the station grounds.
